Shell and tube: Heat exchangers for water cooling in chillers operating using the principle of conduction heat transfer between the refrigerant and the water. They are manufactured with copper inner tubes and a carbon steel shell. The refrigerant-side connections are made of brazed bronze, and the water-side connections are NPT threaded, with a fire protection connection or flange, depending on the technical requirements.

The manufacture of exchangers follows the guidelines of TEMA (Tubular Exchange Manufactures' Association), ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials).
